I was going to write an entire post about my hair and how I am growing it out and how it is making me crazy, but I decided to spare you such boredom. Long story short: In 2009 I wanted to be Victoria Beckham. In 2012 I am still paying for that.

The extreme emotional trauma that growing out my hair is causing me reminded me of the times that I wore
Jessica Simpson hair extensions (pre-posh cut, mind-you. This was circa 2007). I'd like to send out a huge thank you to all of those who let me do so without telling me how awful they looked. SERIOUSLY, you guys? I'm going to hold on to this forever and one day when your hair looks awful and you say, "Why didn't you tell me?" I'm just going to walk away shouting "JESSICA SIMPSON!" One day when you need help fixing your hair for an important event? JESSICA SIMPSON! And you're going to be all, "What does she have to do with anything?" and I'll say, "Did she really name her baby girl Maxwell?" And then I will forget about the extensions and move on with my life.

I have had my share of bad haircuts. I just decided to quit. I'll get it trimmed from time to time. but I threaten the hairdresser with a shiv if she does anymore than that.
ReplyDeleteYou crack me up. I chopped my hair off in 2008, loved it for a few weeks, and then REALLY regretted my decision. NEVER AGAIN. You're going to think I'm crazy, but try taking prenatal vitamins. I promise they help your hair grow back just a liiiiittle bit faster than it would have otherwise!

So funny! I don't really think they looked all that bad! I hate growing my hair out too and now it's really long and of course I want to chop it off.. but I won't!
ReplyDeleteI don't think they looked bad! BUT I think that your hair looks great short! You can pull it off, embrace it! Us fat asses with round faces are jealous!

Hahah! Love this! I almost bought those last year, I just didn't think they could seriously look good. I'm growing my hair out too. I like it short or long, but this two year in between stuff is awful!

ReplyDeleteI cut my hair last year and told my stylist that if I ever requested it again to make me leave the building and refuse. We may roll around and fight like girls but I would give up and eventually remember why I never cut my hair off again. It was torture.

ReplyDeleteIn your defense (or that of the people who let you walk around like that) it was kind of in style to have that I have short hair with extensions look. You could even see where Britney Spears extensions started (okay, not a great example) Christina Aguilera (okay, nevermind) my point is, people started getting their hair cut to look like that, with a really thick layer on top and long undersides. I don't remember if I willingly condoned this look (although for money, I probably did.)
